Lady Game Drive Childcare centre was completed in late 2018. It features an exciting split-level playground at the rear, with a sand pit and customized fort, and a bike track, pirate ship, music play, timber cubby and decking, shade structures and dry creek bed, surrounded by complimentary landscaping and soft-fall finishes.

The St Marys Childcare playground was developed in close co-ordination with the centre, and the associated church who leases the grounds to the centre. The church grounds date back to early settlement, and all work was subject the tight excavation and heritage restrictions.

The brief was strongly focused on adventure play, and the use of natural, organic finishes throughout, with substantial native planting, trees, timber and bush rock. The result is a very exciting, contemporary and complex play space with a wide range of activities and creative areas to explore.

The Greenwood Childcare playground is an exciting play space on large grounds with a vast range of activities. Like many recent playground design briefs, there was a strong focus on natural adventure play which reflects in the design, layouts, activities and finishes. The playground hosts an exciting range of play & learning opportunities, including covered vegetable gardens, climbing walls and activity panels, cubbies, tunnels, mounds, bridges over dry creeks, bike tracks, balance activities, sand pits... the list goes on and on.

This luxury apartment complex features a vibrant, contemporary landscape design incorporating room for canopy trees and complimentary native themed planting with high-quality out door landscape finishes and lighting. An exciting Communal Open Space area at the rear of the development seamlessly incorporates under cover outdoor entertaining facilities with a Bar-be-que, table and seating including entertaining space, plus a small playground area for the kids.

The landscape design for Miranda Pinnacle incorporated a high-quality central walkway which doubles as the main entry point for the occupants of the building, and a public walkway link between Pinnacle Street, and the public park located at the end of University Road. This link will ultimately connect with a cycleway adjacent the rail line. As such, this central core through the site incorporates quality finishes including class 1 concrete planter walls, natural stone paving and unique lighting. Angled, organic, flowing planter beds articulate to seamlessly incorporate bench seating, feature planting including deciduous trees offering seasonal colour and textural changes, and light weight pergolas for shade. This blend of materials and organic design ultimately creates a central corridor through the site which is inviting, dynamic and unique, with constant change throughout the seasons.

This design approach and material blend is extended to two beautiful communal open space rooftop areas above each of the buildings. These rooftops provide additional break-out space, with quality furnishings including tables and bench seating, barbeques and pergolas as well as a common room and toilet facilities for year-round communal entertainment.

Endemic trees and shrubs have been incorporated along the southern portion of the site to give residents in the apartments overlooking the rail line future views through the dappled foliage of canopy trees which include Grey Gums, Iron Barks and Turpentine, while giving rail commuters a pleasant natural setting against the southern elevation of the building for their commute.

The themed planting design, generous use of advanced canopy trees and shrubs, and the creative design and quality materials and furnishings for the central walkway and rooftops result in a high quality outcome for the residential apartment project, in a market where this approach is uncharacteristic.

Designed by renowned architects Turner & Associates and built by award winning Novati Constructions, the Tin Sheds is a unique development comprising of eight multi-level ‘penthouse style’ townhouses plus two, 2 bedroom single level apartments. The building design sported copper cladded external finishes and set a new benchmark for medium density development in the inner west. The complimentary contemporary architectural landscaping was designed to reflect the colours and style of the built form.

Located on a quiet tree-line street opposite the tranquil Ann Cashman Reserve, the Tin Sheds is only 5 minutes walk to the vibrant Darling Street café strip.

Conzept documented the construction drawings in partnership with Structus building and engineering firm to deliver a high-quality, urban design transition space fronting the busy, prominent pedestrian entry point from Railway Parade to the railway station at Kogarah. The project combined a series of pedestrian ramps with a cascading trough water feature, high quality paving and finishes, water fountain, bicycle parking and the retention of several established Spotted Gum canopy trees.

Conzept was involved in a challenging heritage conservation project in the heart of Maitland. Located in the center of a public housing site was an aging remnant farmhouse of heritage value, which had deteriorated to the stage of being dangerous to the residents. The brainchild of a local consultant, Herd Architects, the concept was to 'deconstruct' the farmhouse, and use the available materials, including hardwood beams from roofing & the sandstone from walls to create community gardens and facilities including customized furniture. The results are a fabulous, inclusive and interactive community space that the occupants love to use.

Working with Sydney Ports, Conzept were engaged to work with a team of consultants to re-landscape the Port Botany site and major roadworks upgrades to facility the third Sydney Port. Designing and documentation of the new landscape works in line with a myriad of complex guidelines and control, design restrictions, easements and stake holder input, was challenging, however, the results were an attractive, robust, colourful endemic landscape.

Wildfire was an early industrial site development for Conzept, which incorporated a lot of endemic and native landscape species which offer a range of textures and colours, and ultimately result in a contemporary and ecologically responsible & largely self-maintaining landscaping result.

Conzept was approached by management at the RBA facility in Bella Vista to design an upgrade for the corporate site, and to address the repurposing of a defunct water feature on site, and general upgrading and beautification works. The resulting landscape introduced colour and contemporary planting and finishes to deliver a successful reimagining of the entry courtyard and surrounding landscaped areas.

Conzept have been involved in dozens and dozens of new corporate developments & existing site upgrades for a wide range of large Australian businesses and international corporations, including Goodman, Coles, Woolworths, Stockland’s, Toyota, KFC, Hungry Jacks, Aldi, 7 – Eleven and many others, plus many bulky goods development, pubs, clubs and other commercial projects. A stunning modern waterfront pool complimenting an architecturally designed residence.

This is a great example of a practical family pool; a great size for many residential backyards, perfect for play, entertaining or exercise, and neatly finished with raised planters and a feature water-wall.

Conzept has undertaken landscape design for dozens of sites in the stunning Kings Estate located in Terrigal, working closely with Tullipan Homes. Many of these sites have included pools, and the following images showcase several of these, which have been beautifully finished.

Our clients desire for their home in Kintore street was for a strong focus on classic finishes and planting with a traditional, classic, formal layout. A raised formal lawn, bordered by masonry planters, capped with bull-nose sandstone coping and planted out with a mix in standard Camellia, flowering pears for scale, and understory planting such as Lavender for colour resulted in the classic look and happy clients.

Sheltered away in the small secluded residential pocket of Huntley Grove, adjacent Riverglade Reserve on Tarban Bay near Gladesville, this unique residence blends a pleasant landscaped courtyard area in natural deep soil sheltered by a Jacaranda tree and native planting blending into the natural waterfront surrounds, with a roof-garden courtyard area, finished with sandstone boulders and native herbs, shrubs and grasses.

Conzept was engaged to design & document the landscaping works for neighbouring luxury homes in Therry Street in Avalon by Binet Homes, which were characterized by native, contemporary beach-style plants and materials, hardwood decking, beautiful pools and some charming seaside themed art and sculptural elements.
